Heartrunner is an emergency response platform. When an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is reported to 112, Heartrunner alerts nearby volunteers in real time — connecting them and public defibrillators to the person in need when every second counts. Over time, the platform has expanded to fire, drowning and other time-critical emergencies. The benefit for society is that someone acts before professional help arrives, increasing the chance of survival and reducing consequences. Research-based and proven across Sweden and Denmark, our system provides a safety net for 14 million people through 250,000 volunteers. Heartrunner turns communities into volunteer networks and citizens into everyday heroes.
