Empower people to act and make a difference

At its core, we firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their background, has the potential to make a difference—anybody can save a life or help in other ways. This belief in the power of people drives our system and the volunteer community.
People are happy to help
A study on the Heartrunner system showed that 97,4% of the volunteers who had been on a mission were happy to help and wanted to do it again. No matter the outcome, their efforts make them feel valued and important.
Nurturing a volunteer culture and community is essential for motivating and engaging people to be ready to act when needed. Volunteers, whether civilians or semi-professionals, thrive when supported, guided, and given opportunities to help. Making this culture thrive involves clear communication, answering questions, providing feedback, and debriefing when needed. This keeps our volunteers informed, involved, and cared for. After each event, we collect insights through questionnaires, enabling us to track the events at the scene.
When volunteers are appreciated and seen, they recruit more volunteers, advocate for the system, and help create positive media. Recognition of their efforts is a powerful motivator and inspires them to continue their engagement, and this saves lives!
